SEO consultant: make your website the one people choose.

Fifteen years of SEO, more than 200 sites tracked with Newp, and one rule: I only recommend what I've made work on my own websites.

  1. Rattle your competitors.
  2. Overtake them.
  3. Protect you from their attacks.

What is an SEO consultant?

An SEO consultant is an organic search specialist: they make sure your website shows up on Google when your customers search for what you sell. They analyse the site, choose which queries to target, set priorities and track results. Unlike an agency, it's one person who decides and who answers you.

  • seo consultant who answers the phone himself

The problem

The three most common problems.

Symptom 1

Traffic, no customers

The graphs go up, the phone doesn't ring. Someone targeted the easy keywords instead of the ones that pay.

Symptom 2

A report, no plan

Forty pages of colour-coded alerts. Nobody knows where to start, so nobody starts.

Symptom 3

A supplier, no point of contact

The salesperson signed, a junior does the work. The person deciding your strategy is someone you've never spoken to.

A crowd of identical little white robots; just one, in the middle, is purple.

Your competitors all look alike. Good.

Fig. 2. Your market, as Google sees it. (You're the purple one. Or you could be.)

The answer

Four stages, always in this order.

SEO isn't a to-do list. It's a series of choices, and the order matters.

  1. Frame. We pick the few queries that weigh on your revenue. The rest waits.
  2. Audit. Technical, content, links, competition: I point out what's holding you back, ranked by impact.
  3. Build. Architecture, pages, internal linking, link building. Every action is tied to a query and a goal.
  4. Measure. Rankings, clicks, incoming enquiries. Every month: what was done, and what it achieved.

In detail

What I actually do for you.

Choosing the queries

Together we keep the searches that bring in customers. The others are set aside.

The roadmap

A short document: what to do, in what order, and who does it.

Technical instructions

I write down what your developer needs to fix. Then I check it's live.

Page briefs

For every page to create or rework: the topic, the outline, the questions to answer.

Proofreading

I review new pages before they're published, so they go out without flaws.

Judgement calls

Redesign, new product, change of tool: you call me before deciding.

How it works

How SEO support unfolds, month after month.

  1. Day 1

    The kick-off call

You describe your customers, your seasons and your profitable products. I note what you expect from the site.

  2. Weeks 1 to 3

    The diagnosis

I go through the site, your analytics and three competitors. I rank the blockers by what they cost you.

  3. Month 2

    The first fixes

Your team applies the technical instructions. I check every fix once it's live.

  4. Months 3 to 5

    The service pages

The pages that carry your offer are reworked one by one, then connected with internal links.

  5. Every month

    The progress review

An hour together. I show you the enquiries received, the rankings, and what comes next.

Making the choice

A consultant, an agency or yourself: who should handle your SEO?

I know the first two from the inside: I'm a consultant and co-founder of the Newp agency. If an agency or an employee suits you better, I'll tell you on our first call.

It's for you if…

  • You run the business and want to talk to the person who writes the plan
  • Your website has been around a while and its results have stalled
  • You have a developer, a web agency or an employee to apply the instructions
  • You're fine with being told no when an idea won't pay

It's not for you if…

  • You expect to be promised a specific spot on Google
  • You want a supplier who just executes without discussion
  • Your offer isn't defined yet
  • You plan to stop after a month if nothing has moved

Your turn

How much could SEO earn you?

Move the sliders with your own numbers. The maths is deliberately simple: searches, a share of clicks, a conversion rate, the value of a customer.

These are your assumptions, not a promise. We swap them for your real numbers during the call.

In practice

What you get.

  • A prioritised action plan, not a list of alerts
  • One point of contact: me
  • A monthly results review, in plain language
  • Monthly support, no minimum term
  • The Newp team for execution when needed

Pricing

What budget should you plan for an SEO consultant?

I don't publish a price list, because no two websites ever need the same work. We talk about it during a free half-hour call, then you get a written quote.

  • The number of pages to rework or create
  • How strong the sites already ranking for your searches are
  • The share of the work your teams handle
  • How much advisory time you want each month

One-minute test

Is SEO right for you?

Five frank questions to find out whether support makes sense in your situation. Sometimes the answer is no, and I'll tell you.

What it brings in

SEO you can count in euros.

A ranking doesn't pay a salary. What counts is what it brings: enquiries, customers, revenue. Move your page up and see what it could bring in.

Example assumptions, open to challenge: 800 searches a month for your trade in your town, 4% of visitors make an enquiry, one enquiry in three is signed (this varies a lot from one trade to another), €1,200 per customer. Click-through rates by position are ballpark figures, and they've been shifting since Google started showing AI answers above the results. Redo the maths with your numbers

Who you're talking to

Your SEO consultant: a business owner, not just an SEO.

My name is Kévin Papot. More than fifteen years in the job, four co-written books, and the Newp agency, co-founded in Charente. I also run my own online shops, in France and internationally: one of them went from zero to a million visits a month.

Before we talk tags, we talk margin, average basket and profitability. When you book a call, I'm the one who picks up.

FAQ

SEO consultant: frequently asked questions.

How long before the first results?

It depends on your starting point and your competitors. Technical fixes often show within a few weeks; rankings on competitive queries take several months. I give you an honest estimate after the audit, not before.

Do you guarantee first position?

No. Nobody can honestly guarantee it: I don't own Google. I commit to a plan, priorities and measurements you can check.

Who works on my account?

The strategy is me, and I'm the one who answers you. For production (content, development, links), I rely on the team at Newp, the agency I co-founded.

What does an SEO consultant do day to day?

I analyse websites, choose queries, write instructions and check they're applied. I also spend time explaining my choices to you, so you can challenge them.

Do you work with my web agency or developer?

Yes, it's a common setup. I send them written, prioritised instructions. They stay in control of the site, I check the result.

Can you take over a site already handled by another provider?

Yes. I start by reading what's been done, without calling everything into question. I keep what works and explain what I'm changing.

Do I need to rebuild my website before starting?

Rarely. A site often improves without being rebuilt. If a redesign is needed, I tell you after the diagnosis, with my reasons.

What happens if I stop the support?

You keep everything: the roadmap, the briefs, the pages and the access. Rankings you've gained don't vanish overnight. They slip gradually if nobody maintains the site.

Do you work with sites in my industry?

I've handled more than 200 sites with my agency, across a wide range of industries. If I don't know yours, I'll tell you, and I'll start by studying your competitors.
